Last night I finished the 2-month+ project I had been working on for my cousin. (sorry, this one’s not for sale)
I have a Christmas afghan I’d like to make next, well two actually, one for me and one for sale.

Worked on a few more bottles this weekend – this one turned out absolutely *gorgeous*. I’m even keeping one for myself… shame I had to drink another bottle of wine 😉

Well, I finally got around to lighting and decorating my third wine bottle.
This is a beautiful bottle! It doesn’t have a lot of light to lend to the room, but rather makes a wonderful multi-color accent. The multi-color LED lights make a perfect accent to the Black Opal logo colors. Purchase online: http://calicomouse.artfire.com

Well, I finally gave in and joined the blog world.
I’m working on building a handmade craft business and thought maybe it would help to tell the world about it.
You’ll find my store at http://calicomouse.etsy.com
I love to create things! I’ve been dabbling in one sort of craft or another for 40-some odd years. No, I’m not saying how old I am, lets just say I started at a young age.
I’ve sewn, knitted, crocheted, embroidered, cross-stitched to name a few. A few years ago I started making my own candles and then branched out into homemade soap – not the melt and pour kind, but natural soap made from oils and lye.
I’ve recently purchased an new sewing machine – one of those ones that do embroidery. I’m working on a lot of free-standing lace, and have quite a few wonderful soft and warm scarves knitted.
